Blackstone’s scope included indoor and outdoor AHUs with chilled and heating hot water coils, and VAVs with heating hot water coils for zoning. The auditorium is served by single-zone AHUs with sound attenuator in the ductwork. Exhaust fans serve general exhaust throughout the building. Due to the complexity of the space, we worked on uneven ground from all-terrain articulating manlifts at extreme heights to hang the duct drops for proper air distribution.
In the Central Plant, the chilled water is generated by (2) 215-ton air cooled chillers. Heating hot water is generated by (2) 2500-MBH gas-fired boilers. The pump skid consists of (2) boilers, chilled water pumps, heating hot water pumps, and air control system. Blackstone’s project management team delivered preconstruction solutions to assist with HVAC planning, design, and budgeting.
